Hotel Amaris

Super convenient location near the old town and train station. Despite the nearby train lines there was hardly any noticeable noise (we had a room towards the back). The «comfort room» was spacious, the bathroom exceptionally large. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Really enjoyed our stay…we were retired interrailers…the hotel was absolutely perfect for access to the station…and yet it was quiet also. Perfectly clean, great facilities. Breakfast was just great…major regret was that we had to go before breakfast was served on our last day…staff were lovely also and offered us a packed lunch in lieu of the missed breakfast.

Notwithstanding the fact that the hotel is in close proximity to Olten station (the Crewe of Switzerland) and our room overlooked the railway (at my request) we both slept soundly (the benefit of electric traction universal on Swiss railways! A superb location for travel out and back to virtually anywhere in Switzerland

Room was great, no problems. After a 11 hour drive from Italy it was just what you needed to 'chill out'. Breakfast was good value ( unlike most things in Switzerland ) and it set us up for the day. Receptionist booked restaurant for us as we arrived near closing time and desperately need food. Coffee pod machine in the room. good to have a coffee first thing.

In the end we didn't stay at amaris due to some issues with the room booking, however want to thank the staff for finding us a room elsewhere, making sure we had all booking details and breakfast covered by them also. Really appreciated the service.
